Ian Taylor - Biography

Ian Taylor is an international expert in news media relations and handling sensitive public issues. He's trained over 10,000 spokespersons from over 100 countries (including the International Aviation Management Training Institute in Montreal).

Clients and students learn the skills of a professional media spokesperson from someone who's had a chance to make most of the mistakes possible, so they don't have to repeat them. He helps anyone who has to serve as an official representative of an organization - in many settings besides dealing with the media.

As the former high-profile media spokesperson at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport, Ian has been a common fixture on the evening news. His students are seen in the news almost daily in Central Canada.

Since 1988, he's been a media skills trainer and public relations executive and has now altered his career toward the topic of Baby Boomers and specifically, semi-retirement.

Ian is the National Post best-selling author of MediaSpeak and Never Say "NO COMMENT"

The creator of The SPIN Doctor's Game, The One Minute Power Message and The Reporter from Hell, Ian is also the founder of SPIN College, or as it's formally called, The Institute for Serving Public Information Need.

He's a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and the International Federation for Professional Speakers.
